This document explains what personal data the Destin app collects, why, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.
The data controller is Robert Radu, an individual based in Romania. For any question about your data, write to destin.love2026@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days, as required by GDPR.

We do not collect your contacts, your browsing history, data from other apps, or payment details — payments go entirely through Google Play, which never gives us your card number.
Your own gender and the gender of the people you are looking for, taken together, say something about your sexual orientation. The law treats this as a special category of data, protected more strictly than the rest.
That is why we do not rely here on the fact that you accepted the terms. We ask for a separate, explicit consent, on a screen that does nothing else, under Article 9(2)(a) GDPR.
What we do with it: we use it only to show you people who match what you are looking for. We do not use it for advertising, we do not share it, we do not sell it. Other users cannot see what you selected — they only see whether you appear in their list or not.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, with a button under Profile → Settings. When you withdraw it, we delete your gender preference and pause your profile — without that information we cannot make matches, so discovery stops. Your account, photos, conversations and existing matches are left untouched. If you change your mind, consent again and everything resumes.
We do not sell your data to anyone. We share it only with the services the app needs in order to work:

Under GDPR you have the right to request a copy of your data, its correction, its deletion, restriction of processing, portability, and to object to processing. Write to destin.love2026@gmail.com.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Romanian data protection authority (dataprotection.ro).
Destin is intended exclusively for people aged 18 and over. We do not create accounts for, or knowingly collect data from, minors. If you learn that a minor has created an account, write to us and we will delete it immediately.
Passwords are stored hashed (bcrypt), never in plain text. Communication between the app and the server uses HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take any reported issue seriously.
Google and Twilio services may process data outside the European Union, under the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
If we change something significant, we update the date at the top and tell you in the app.
